Bloody Royals

A Jubilee to die for...

It is June 2022 and Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee is in full swing—hardly the moment for the worst disaster since the Blitz to befall central London. When the royal carriage procession descends into chaos and the celebratory mood turns deadly, the Windsors find themselves trapped inside Buckingham Palace, surrounded by an unsavoury mob with an appetite for blood: royal blood.

Caught in the fray, disgraced news reporter Hattie Bailey lands the scoop of a lifetime when she and her cameraman join their escape, secretly filming the ordeal. What they don't know is that the footage is being broadcast live to a captivated world…and it's doing wonders for the ratings.

As pandemonium reigns, the family's desperate fight for survival plays out uncensored and in real time, revealing the royals as we've never seen them before: flawed, powerless, and unable to ring for assistance.

Delivering humour and heart in equal measure, Bloody Royals is a whip-smart, affectionate portrayal of the modern Royal Family. Its biting take on tabloid culture and the spread of misinformation gives way to an emotional punch that will catch readers off guard. Perfect for fans of The Crown and Shaun of the Dead.
