Civil Society Formation and Global Exchange: Lithuania, Sweden, The Baltic Sea Area, And the World‪.‬

Within the global economy, the Baltic Sea Area may facilitate learning as a source of economic progress, based upon a common morality of markets. Civil society provides the moral culture that contributes to integrative structures. This process is studied for the emerging market economy Lithuania and the market economy Sweden, in order to assess the potential of Baltic-Nordic learning networks that are viable in global exchange. Moral and religious ideas give meaning to esteem that shapes norms through indirect utilitarian selection and must be suitable for cooperation both internally within Baltic-Nordic learning networks and externally in global exchange.
