A Dilemma in High Places

J.P. Meredith was the regional vice-president of the Northern Central Bank. He came from a traditional banking family that had accumulated considerable wealth over three generations. Looked upon as a leader in the banking industry, he was married to an ambitious woman with an independent interest in writing and  publishing gardening books and presenting on her own syndicated broadcasting program. The marriage had gone stone cold as both developed separate lives. Unbeknown to each the wife had a lover and Meredith had redeveloped a childhood interest in crossdressing and through this had also met a woman who at first helped him with his special interest and by degrees also became his lover. The end was inevitable with a nasty divorce. In the meantime a case of transsexualism in a more junior employee, Alan Brodie, became known to Meredith. Once known to each other they developed a close and secret friendship which brings mutual benefits as Alan (now Alison) steers his way through a challenging family situation and J.P. manages to end his marriage to his spiteful, revenge seeking wife.
