A Warder's Tale

A Warder's Tale is a c. 135,000-word novel about Thomas Bernhard, Art, Nazis and Austria. It follows the journey of a translator of Thomas Bernhard who seeks to find out why his half-brother, a museum warder in Vienna, has committed suicide. Was it due to the conflicts within his family, the fact that he'd become a traumatised worker, a victim of neoliberalism, or on account of the corruption, incompetence and brutality of the system?
