Agile is growing, it’s coming to a project near you soon. In fact it has been around the IT arena for nearly thirty years, it wasn’t always called agile, but many of the tools and techniques considered agile have been in use for a very long time.

This book takes a very simple view of how agile can be used across an organisation to deliver essential changes. There are other views of agile, all tend to be complex and very detailed and this leads to confusion and inevitable conflict.

This book discusses how to make a project management or support office much more agile, when we say project support office, we also mean programme support offices, or even portfolio support offices, and maybe even centres of excellence for project and programme management.

This book is based on the best practice guide from AXELOS called P3O, but you do not need to know about P3O, you simply need to understand that a project or programme is about delivering changes to an organisation.
