Publisher Description

Andimo Pappadio, the acting boss of the Gaetano Lucchese crime family, was murdered outside his home in September 1969. The killers were sitting in one of two Cadillacs that Pappadio and his wife Rose owned. The couple had just returned from an evening out. Pappadio was closely associated with Giovanni "Big John" Ormento and several prominent narcotics rackets. Andimo's name first surfaced in newspaper headlines following a notorious mob conclave in upstate New York. Held on October 14, 1957, the Apalachin meeting brought the Mafia organization to prime time evening newscasts.
