ART IN A LOCKDOWN

Because of the global pandemic, Covid-19, the government imposed strict rules on its population, to restrict the spread of this highly contagious disease. Face masks were mandatory, as was social distancing. Schools and businesses transitioned from workplace to in-home, a virtual lifestyle. To ward off depression that being cloistered caused, I used my experience as an Art teacher to encourage others to do Art activities. I devised lesson plans equivalent to a year's worth of Art training and doing, in a logical and progressive order that almost anyone 12 years old or older could accomplish. This ebook is a colourful manual for an artist, as well as for someone who has never done any Art at all. It is an educational resource for those who are involved with home schooling, including both, the teacher and the student. The number of home schooling nationwide (U.S.) has tripled since the pandemic began. The amount of stress and tension for those confined indoors, has also multiplied. My hope is that the Art lessons in this ebook will ease that.
