Banji Versus The Village

Banji is a high-spirited seven-year-old boy who delights in finding creative solutions to challenges. A kindhearted fellow, his life however personifies the expression that it takes a village to raise a child. He is aided by his newly found friend, Yam-Yam the hippo, who often gets him in a jam. Not to worry, there’s always help around the corner, and the village never fails to assert the needed wisdom.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Bankole E. Lasekan is an animator, writer, painter and videogame developer. His animation production credit comprises movies, videogames and commercials, including Disney/Pixar’s A Bug’s Life and the Oscar™-winning Geri’s Game. He holds a BFA (Cum Laude) in Design Communication and an MA in Film Production.
