Publisher Description

Basic Circuit Analysis is a 155 page ebook that is an introduction to electronic circuit analysis techniques such as Mesh, Nodal, Thévenin’s and Norton’s theorems that form the foundation for the study of electrical engineering. And since this is an ebook, it takes advantage of embedded videos as well as image galleries that are not available in a traditionally printed book.

Each chapter either presents a fundamental concept or explains a particular analysis technique. This book assumes no prior knowledge of electrical engineering. If circuit analysis is a new field of study for a student then this book will ease you into this field with the simpler concepts presented in the earlier chapters and then progressing through the book to more complex analysis techniques.

An analysis chapter begins with an explanation of a particular analysis technique followed by examples of that technique using simple circuits. At the end of the chapter is a section containing solved problems. These will be additional solved problems of the learned technique but with more complex circuits.

There are a total of 92 solved problems. These are in image galleries so that you can step forward or backward through each page showing step by step how the problem is solved. The first page shows the circuit with the objective for the analysis, usually to find a current or voltage. A student can then solve the problem and check the last page to see if they got the correct answer. If not, then they can step through each page of the solution to see how the problem objective is solved.

The book contains 12 chapters as follows:

Chapter 1: Basic Concepts
