Cuarto de Escape (A Spanish-Language Escape Room‪)‬

Are you looking for something unique for your Spanish language classes, or to practice Spanish at home? Try this Mayan-themed Spanish language escape room. This activity is intended for students to do in partners, or in small groups. It can be used in person or in an online environment.

In order to escape, students have to work together to complete a series of puzzles and challenges completely in the Spanish language. Only by working as a team, will they be able to finish the challenges in time. This game is designed for Spanish language interaction and the key objective is real communication In the target language.

Grammatical accuracy is not as important in this activity, as students being able to understand each other and work together. This activity can be used with students of any Spanish level given the right instructions and support. It is recommended for students ages eight and older.

Besides the introduction slide, the activity is presented 100% in Spanish. Making it an option for native Spanish-speaking students as well. There is no instruction in regards to vocabulary or grammar.
