Freeing the planet Circe from the grip of the Immortals has come at no small expense to the Wraith and his Revenants. With only a few battered starships and a handful of survivors to man them, another stand-up fight is out of the question. More, the strain of the campaign has opened divisions between once-unshakeable allies.

But the job's not done.

Control of the remainder of the star system remains in doubt. The Theocracy gathers its remaining forces around a small moon with a deadly secret. Deep in its core, ghoulish experiments into the very nature of life and undeath come to fruition. And with the entire moon converted into a weapon, The Dark Science Division will deliver the results of this unholy work into the skies over just-liberated Circe.
