If he wanted his theories to succeed, Jung needed to publish many articles and books that would support his ideas. The Tower was a place where he could gather his thoughts and improve his working skills without any distractions.
However, Carl Jung was not the only person who wanted to escape from the cacophony of everyday life. People like Mark Twain, Woody Allen, J.K. Rowling, and Bill Gates all did similar thing. Each person shared a common ability, which was called deep work.
