Eliza Latimer was an idealistic undergraduate. Now, she's a cog in a corporate machine that she's come to hate. Hunted by the oldest and most nefarious cabal in human history, he has no choice but to team up with a semi-immortal, chain-smoking, alcoholic who can manipulate a fifth force of nature in what appears to be magic. An extra-dimensional bar, a French bulldog familiar, and an existential threat to human society bend Nick's path toward Eliza's.
