Elena Delle Donne had a bright future ahead of her in the sport of basketball. When she headed to the University of Connecticut, everyone was sure that she would become a star player there. But Elena wasn t convinced that Connecticut was where she belonged. She missed her home. And she missed her family especially her sister, Lizzie. When she returned to Delaware, many people feared that her basketball-playing days were behind her. But she was clearly just getting started. She would keep playing the game she loved, but she would do it much closer to home. And a few years later, her dreams of playing in the WNBA would still become a reality.
