Leaorin Aevin and Jake Harwick hold the key to traveling between worlds and controlling awesome technology but they don't know it yet. She and Jake live in an orphanage and have no memory of when they were taken. Children are going missing again but Jake and Leaorin are determined to leave the relative safety of the orphanage. Everything that 13 year-old Jake and 12 year-old Leaorin think they know about who they are and the people around them is literally going to change. When they decide to leave the only home they can remember, they fall into a world specially designed to trap them.
