Abstract The present study was aimed at examining the role of developing fetal adrenal transplant in cases of old rheumatoid arthritis with severe pain due to involvement of the inflammatory and neuropathic components of pain. Human fetal adrenal transplant survives in HLA randomized adult hosts with rheumatoid arthritis and has a beneficial effect on pain and inflammation.
