Five Willows Guy

This book collects translation of my favorite Chinese classical poems, some essays and favorite songs into English. The original verse in Chinese and its translation are given together for easy reference. Since each Chinese word has a single sound, I try to translate each word into English with as few syllables as possible. This is especially important for translation of Chinese songs, so that the English version can also be sung with the same melody. As a result of this experience in translation, I am emboldened to try some poems in English. This book also includes a chapter on those experiments.
