Opening in the 'Twisting Shades' of the Nosteratu's underworld,'Flinging Back the Bolts' explores a range of human emotions through mythical and natural experiences. From the seductive call of the Sirens to the agony of Agaue - the mother who inadvertently killed her own son; from the pitiful cry of the blinded Oedipus, 'Look at me now...' to the call of the Lotus Eaters to join their drugged life, forget the world and dance with them day after day. While central themes address the agonies and insignificance of human life, there is also beautiful, reflective human experience -from listening to the rain fall, to seeing the world in moonlight and knowing that the experience is uniquely precious.
