Frances E. Willard

Willard: A Memorial Volume recalls Willard's years as a popular American suffragist, as well as being an educator and temperance reformer. Along with additions of Willard's early life, the work also includes her years as the national president of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. In this position, she sought to aid education, free school lunches, union workers, the life of the impoverished, sanitation and child abuse, along with fighting for women's rights.
