Publisher Description

It is an immense honor to assume the shared editorship of the Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM). We began the editorial transition in March 2007, with Craig and Lutz overseeing the review of all manuscripts submitted from March 15 onwards. Lisa's responsibility as Editor-In-Chief has been the management of the external relationships for the Journal, including building the status and recognition of JSCM. In reality, we have worked as a close and cohesive team and have found that these responsibilities have often blurred. Craig and Lutz have edited all papers published in this issue, and all papers that will appear in subsequent issues of JSCM during their tenure as co-editors. We thus take ultimate responsibility for the content that will appear in the Journal. We share our sincere thanks to the past editors of JSCM, who have left a rich legacy to the field of supply chain management. We are especially grateful to our immediate predecessor, Alvin Williams, for his time, patience and sage advice during the transition period.
