Front-Line Advent

Advent is a time of reflection. We wonder about the great theme of darkness and light. We think about what it is to have faith, and to be peaceful and joyful, even when the world seems a dangerous and unreliable place. And we look again at the extraordinary claim that the God who made the heavens came among us as one of us. 


Front-line Advent reflects on some of the mysteries and delights of Advent but from a different perspective, engaging the heart, mind and soul. Each day provides a reflection on a beautiful poem, a prayer, an exploration of a Bible verse, and questions for further reflection.


Written by two ministers in neighbouring parishes in North London, this book looks at Advent from the front-line.  Challenging, thought-provoking and inspirational, these daily reflections will help us all to think, pray and be aware of God’s presence in new ways this Advent.
