Publisher Description
Joseph and Adrienne Gallien moved into their "dream home" but later, motivated in part by a pending foreclosure action against the house, brought suit against several entities involved in the Galliens purchase of the home. There, the dream ended and a procedural nightmare began. At first glance, the Galliens appeal appears to center on a summary judgment rendered against them. But the procedural mechanisms employed before that summary judgment complicate the review of the trial courts disposition and make the appeal less of a summary judgment case than one relating to the trial courts order striking most of the Galliens pleadings and effectively dismissing most of the Galliens case with prejudice.
