Gallows Road

Yorkshire, circa 1950. Newly married D.I. Christopher Yarrow returns from his honeymoon expecting to resume normal police work. Instead, he is confronted by a series of seemingly unrelated murders that expose the darkest corners of human nature.

While Yarrow searches for the ruthless killer and wrestles with a confession that may conceal the truth, nineteen-year-old Billy Earnshaw is called up for National Service and sent to fight in Korea, where his courage is tested beyond endurance.
