GONTOR MAGAZINE FIFTH EDITION
Publisher Description
With this cyber publication we start a second year of reaching your social and informational means with our Digital Magazine in order to have a continuous dialogue from the GONTOR family with the International Trade community. On this occasion, the main article of our cover is regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), an agreement promoted by the U.S. to increase its trade with Asia and to compete with China. We also follow up with the new customs pre-clearance operation, which in the month of January took place in the city of Laredo, Texas gathering high ranking officials of Mexico and United States to participate in the clearance process by the Mexican Customs Authority, with a shipment of FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES (FCA).
Marco Vinicio Morales, a specialized Consultant in Foreign Trade and Customs, with broad experience in the field, provides to the magazine an article called “MODIFICATIONS TO THE IMMEX DECREE” published January 6, 2016 in the Official Gazette of the Federation, including the “Decree through which are modified provisions for the Development of Manufacturing, Maquila and Export Services Industry”. Mercedes Figueroa, Senior Logistics and Customs Manager of FCA contributes with the topic of “Main challenges in border crossing”. On another issue, GONTOR had the “blessing” of importing the “Pope Mobile” a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited manufactured by FCA, for Pope Francis’ recent visit to Mexico.
Thank you for the emails with your critical and supporting feedback of our magazine, we are on a learning path and nurturing the content of our magazine for your benefit and interest, so that this one serves as a tool of general and specialized knowledge in Customs and global trade.
