Human Bingo

A woman is attacked in her home, kept hostage over a long weekend as snowbound London grinds to a halt. Her assailant, a disturbed young man, refuses to divulge his agenda, forces her to take part in a grotesque roleplay of the Desert Island Discs radio show, using this exercise in simulation to reveal snapshots of his life.

The woman, a TV presenter and minor celebrity, struggles to identify the purpose of the assault and in so doing is forced to examine the alcohol-blighted past that she has always sought to repress.

A tense psychological drama, Human Bingo is the author’s fourth novel.
