Publisher Description
INTRODUCTION One of the potential challenges to the Chinese economy, their organizations and the government is identity theft. As Tom Friedman discussed in his 2005 book, The World is Flat (2005), two of the "flatteners" are the technological changes in the recent past, including the high-speed internet connection throughout the world and the Chinese economy, as it becomes part of global trade. These flatteners bring challenges as well as opportunities. This paper defines identity theft, discusses the emerging credit card market in China, risks to the Chinese people and organizations, and makes recommendations for the Chinese people and organization.
