Valerie Milner finds a place for herself managing the office at Stephens Construction, and the three brothers who are her bosses. They've become her family. Except things are changing. Her feelings for one of the them is becoming decidedly un-friend-like. She's gone down that road before, and she's not losing another friendship simply to scratch an itch.

Hiding his feelings from Val is becoming more difficult for Andrew Stephen. Not only is she his best friend, but he's also her boss. The whole thing has bad idea written all over it. Unfortunately, his libido has other plans. Late-night fantasies are keeping him awake and daydreams are distracting him from work. When he finally makes his move, Val enforces the friend zone.

All bets are off, though, when Val gets caught in the crosshairs of an unknown stalker. Drew steps in to protect her, and those lines Val didn't want to cross with him start blurring. Now it's not only their lives—but their hearts—in danger.
