We loved seeing the world through the eyes of outspoken, witty heroine Jenny Taylor, who finds herself torn between two very different men—while also attempting to rebuild a relationship with her estranged mother. (We also adored Jenny's zany best friend Philippa, who offers up wisdom and comedy in equal measure.) Holmes skillfully balances serious issues like depression and bullying with heart-warming romance. We finished this book with a lump in our throats and an ear-to-ear smile.
