Publisher Description
Leif Erikson was an 11th Century Norse explorer who left Norway and sailed from Iceland to North America. It is uncertain exactly where he landed in America, likely somewhere between Maine and New Jersey. There has been speculation that the Viking came ashore on the Charles River near Gerry's Point. He may have built a home near this bend in the Boston area river. My e-book was researched mostly from early 20th century sources and some from the 19th century. I also profile a voyage made in 1926-1927 from Norway to the United States by sailors who voyaged on a replica of Leif Erikson's original ship.
