Ten did everything like he was supposed to, just like he saw on TV and in the movies. Despite his sterling academic career, impressive job, and almost beautiful girlfriend, he wakes up one morning and admits that something isn’t quite right. For the previous twenty years, he has been hounded by an internal saboteur, tormented by a dark menace that lives in the shadows of his mind and steals the joy from every moment, turning life into a monotonous blur of insipid, carbon-copy days.

When conventional methods fail to heal him, Ten leaves the country in search of a cure to ease his pain of existence. Along the way, he meets a motley crew of characters, some out to aid him in his quest, others who want to stop him.

As his personality unravels, Ten unwittingly finds himself in the middle of the fundamental human dynamic, one that threatens to destroy civilization as we know it.
