At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori.
But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her – and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbour, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either.
They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Paige Toon's review: "Colleen Hoover is one of my favourite authors because she writes so passionately from the heart and it’s impossible not to get swept up in the lives of her (admittedly, often randomly-named) characters. The chemistry between Ridge and Sydney is so potent that I read this book with my heart in my mouth. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve recommended it."
Giovanna Fletcher’s review: "From the first page to the last I found myself completely immersed in the lives of the characters, desperate to find out what would happen to their hankering hearts. This is one of the cleverest, most thought-provoking, heart-wrenchingly passionate love stories I’ve read in a while.I loved everything about this unique story and am truly gutted that it ended."
Lindsey Kelk’s review: "Generally speaking I’m not a fan of books based around women falling in love with other people’s partners. However, there is something so addictive about Colleen Hoover’s story that meant I was unable to stop turning the pages until I’d raced all the way to the end. The sexual tension has you constantly on edge and the characters themselves are pretty irresistible."

Loved it!
I loved this book & the collaboration with a singer songwriter. The songs have far more meaning if you listen to them in sync with the book.
The only fallback is that I think the story is somewhat lacking at times, if you read alone (i.e. without the music).
Be prepared for a few tears while reading this!
Like a teenagers cringe school essay
Very teenagery tortured artist caught up on romance type writing. Fierce cringeworthy
