once you’ve entered the melancholia, there is no escape.

the darkness will whisper sweet nothings against the skin of your nape.

the murky waters will wash your mask away, it will expose you in ways you never thought possible. it will strip you to your bare bones, ensnare you in its wrath. it will torture you relentlessly, but you won’t feel a thing.

it will bring you to the brink of your own demise, and you must make the choice to live or to die.
