Mortimer The Magic Monkey

Mortimer the Magic Monkey is a tale that every child needs to read. The hero, Franklin, is deaf boy who spends much of his time alone. One day, he discovers a beautiful spider monkey in a pet store window. Reluctantly, his parents agree to buy the little pet, which soon learns to talk to the boy by signing. Little does Franklin know that he has been chosen by this mystical creature for an adventure that surpasses any child´s wildest dreams. They travel back into time as they sail with pirates, visit ancient Egypt and an untouched Aztec civilization. Together, they learn about loyalty, friendship, and the importance of history.
