Gisonne Michaelis, 36th century specialist in group dynamics, organizes and joins a SPEEDship crew charged with two critical missions: test the evolution of the ship’s new carbon-based Operating System and transport the heir to the Zalterius II ruling family to Quivera in a race against time --literally--to secure their home world’s economic and ecological survival. After launch, the crew is horrified to learn that the ship’s autopilot has been irreversibly reset, sending them on an endless journey. The OS incredibly reprograms the ship towards a planet in a distant system inhabited by corvi, a sentient and ominous saurian species. Can Gisonne repair her fractured group and discover the link between corvi and humans in time to save themselves and their worlds?
