Nightmare Abbey

Nightmare Abbey is a novel by Thomas Love Peacock, first published in 1818. It is a satirical Gothic novel that parodies the genre's conventions, while also providing a playful commentary on contemporary literary figures. The story is centered around a group of well-known Romantic writers, particularly Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and Mary Shelley, who are all fictionalized as characters in the narrative.
