Nightsoil

This tale is set in Warwickshire, the heart of England, but whether it is truth or fable is for you to decide. Character and personality are influenced by the past, and powerful happenings can have a disproportionate impact upon temperament and habit for generations to follow. The inhabitants of Chodding Sudbury and its sister village Billington had engraved upon their genes a pattern of behaviour rooted in the eighteenth century. Violence, once it becomes a part of nature, is impossible to eradicate, and that which was set over two hundred years before climaxed in the dreadful events recounted in Nightsoil.
