The guide started out as a project to help family and friends, some of whom were in difficult situations and who were not aware of some essential financial information that everybody should know. They suggested I make the guide into an eBook so it could be accessed on-line and updated regularly. So I did.

This is not a start at the beginning type book and it is not a long read. The purpose is to set out a few basic principles of financial management and provide a reference guide with a chapter on each of the most important topics including State Pension, Personal Pensions, Savings, Property, Tax and example retirement plans. Each section also has links to the relevant GOV.UK web pages.
