Enter David Walden, or “Weatherman” as he is known at Morty’s Shoe Company, as he leads a cast of characters hell-bent on following the Big Bad Seven. Throughout Playpen, two main ingredients for success-fine product and slick marketing-are constantly at odds with and confronted by the sexual shenanigans and marketing skulduggery any successful company must deal with-wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, gluttony. There’s a car chase through the mall, bullets, a tornado, and David’s writing a book about the whole darn shootin’ match.
