Poor Folk

Poor Folk (Russian: Бедные люди) is Fyodor Dostoevsky’s first novel, originally published in 1846. While it might not be as widely known as some of his later works like Crime and Punishment or The Brothers Karamazov, Poor Folk marks the beginning of Dostoevsky’s exploration of psychological depth, social issues, and the plight of the poor, themes that would define much of his later work.
