England, 1515.



Thomas Wolsey has just become cardinal and King Henry VIII's most trusted minister. But Thomas doesn't believe in putting a limit on his ambitions, and he's out to rise even higher by becoming England's Lord Chancellor and righting the many wrongs he sees in the country.



His first target is the nobility who have been allowed to abuse their privileged positions for far too long. His second target is the Church that made him.



But these ambitions soon pale into insignificance when a new idea occurs to Thomas. Europe is constantly at war. How much better, and more profitable the world would be if there was peace between all the European powers.
