After losing his mother at nine and dealing with his father's demons, Blade Alexander struck out on his own, cultivating his relationships and music far from the public eye. When an unearthed family secret upends his entire worldview, Blade travels to Ghana to find answers. Cascading free verse and tightly wound haiku chronicle the teenage hero’s hyperspeed inner monologue to life. Alexander's joyous, musical use of language electrifies every last page of this book.
