Spitfire Flight

The author became a pilot late in life following the purchase of a flying lesson by her husband. From that moment onwards, the author became addicted to flight and was forever seeking new challenges to test her skills in the air. This is a flight through the sky in a Supermarine Spitfire, describing the route taken by the author to follow the dream of flying the Spitfire as a pilot. There are numerous photographs to encapsulate the joy of the dream fight, which form the bulk of the book. There is purposely a greater proportion of photographs than text to enhance the experience as a visual journey. The book would appeal to pilots and non-pilots alike, and anyone who is interested in the history and beauty of the Supermarine Spitfire.
