Strange Attractor

The 1990s. It's a time of ecstasy-fuelled raves, end-of the-world fatalism, the supernatural, wilfully extreme behaviour and freakish coincidences (or are they ... ) Against this backdrop, John hitches a ride with a travelling carnival. It's the start of a series of outlandish events that force him to leave behind the existence he's taken for granted. Among those he encounters are an amnesiac midget; an angel or devil with very earthly desires and a cryptic mission; a drug-addled serial killer with whom he'll develop an unhealthy relationship; a fortune-teller whose dreams may or may not portend a coming apocalypse; and a pregnant bird-woman whose uncle's tastes veer towards the distinctly perverse. Gradually this intricate, mystifying world unravels into chaos, throwing John's life and the lives of those around him into danger.
