Surviving Relationships

Alexandra holds no punches as she writes about her past relationships and how they have affected her throughout her life. She addresses the issue of teenage physical abuse and how the acceptance of such behavior became a disguise for love. Against the advice of her loved ones, she paints a picture of how these relationships drew out the worst in her as it pertains to physical abuse. Not wanting to leave a stone unturned, she supplies a plethora of mistakes made by herself and others with the topics of rape, cheating, and addictions. Throughout the chapters, she recalls these relationships from her point of view, explains how she examines these situations looking back on each of them accordingly, and also provides advice to the readers moving forward. Through it all, she survived.
