The Basset Goes To Boston

Beauregard Brumley is a young basset hound,

with short legs, big paws, and a body that’s round.

A nose meant for sniffing, with ears to the floor,

this loveable fellow is fit to explore!

The story is told how he travels the globe

(when not sound asleep on his owner’s old robe).

And how, you might ask, does he see all these sights?

He sleeps through the day and roams through the night.

And how does he do it? A boat, car or plane?

No, that isn’t possible. Let me explain.

His friend is a cat, an inventor of schemes,

and it seems he’s created some travel machines.

And so begin the adventures of Beauregard (Beau) and Cornelius the Cat (Corn). Through the invention of a travel machine, Beau and Corn wind up in Boston, Massachusetts on the evening of the midnight ride of Paul Revere. Along the way, they learn much about history and other animals. They also learn a lot about themselves.
