Charlene Kane, the eighteen-year-old heroine of "THE CASTING COUCH", is an example of the young American who finds that dreams can come true. Charlene wants nothing so much as to be a successful fashion model. Her dreams of romance vanish, to be replaced by the reality of sordid sexual affairs. For there are many people many cold, ruthless, self-centered men in the crassly commercial world she enters who think they can buy her outright. "Well, now, I don't know if that's what he'll want. Maybe he'll just want me to go down on him?"
