Publisher Description
ABSTRACT Technical indicators of individual investor behavior using odd-lot short selling have been widely studied. Contrarians employ these indicators in their investment strategies because they feel that individual investors who utilize odd-lot short selling tend to get into or out of the market at precisely the wrong times. These technical indicators have even appeared in popular investments textbooks. The current study indicates that these indicators are no longer valid indicators of individual investor behavior.
