The Gobblers

When a scientist is sent to investigate the disappearance of a work team on a distant planet, he discovers beings both terrifying and beautiful. The terrifying beings are a colony of man-eating plants. The beautiful being is the most desirable woman in the universe, one who, unfortunately, has a problem – like a praying mantis, she kills whoever it is that she mates with.
The scientist decides that both of these attributes are something he can use to his advantage, and sets out to make the woman his lover, despite the risks.
