The Melancholy Dane: Fall 2009 Issue

A testament to the importance of translation, The Melancholy Dane Literary Review is a multilingual movement based in New York's Lower East Side. Scores of writers from the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, and all over the world scramble to get their work onto these pages. The Review is divided into four sections: The French Quarter, The English Quarter, The German Quarter, and The Criticism Supplement. Each poem and story has been translated in each section printed beside its original language, i.e. Greek. Each section is divided into subsections: Taking the Hemlock, Yasnaya Polyana, and Bildungsroman.
