The Mormon Prophet

A fascinating book by author Lily Dougall that seeks to find the truth behind the fantastic claims of Mormon founder Joseph Smith and the tenants of the Mormon faith. Contrary to many books published in the 19th century on the topic of Mormons, Dougall writes in defense of the Mormons and their believed Prophet Smith. She cites that, had Smith's supposed revelations from Heaven been merely fanciful made-up stories, there would have been no way that he could have endured the immense persecution and suffering that he did.
